National online magazine, Rolling Out, featured our first annual event: https://rollingout.com/2023/08/16/the-prom-project-of-michigan-announces-first-annual-prom-event/
We organize annual prom events for individuals that have survived human trafficking and domestic violence. Our events provide milestone moments for those who deserve to be recognized as beautiful, valuable, and deserving of success!
We partner with organizations to provide resources through community allies and individuals who are dedicated to bringing awareness towards the reduction of human trafficking and domestic violence.
Our community is full of people who want to help. We will work to help the people providing services with the people who need them. Come partner with us to connect with people in new ways.

"I became aware of the Human Trafficking Crisis and have devoted my life to fighting this terrible crime. This dedication to the fight against Human Trafficking Crisis drove me to become a Founder of a 501c3, and as a board member of The Prom Project of Michigan. I feel that bringing awareness and having the ability to identify Human Trafficking is very critical in the fight against and the elimination of Human Trafficking. I am proud to join our Founder, Dominique Johnson, in celebrating those who have survived and can turn tragedy to triumph". Mrs. Anderson has a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from Central Michigan University in 2012.
"I am passionate in helping young people reach their full potential through education and opportunities". Dr. Tamara Matthews is an Adjunct Faculty member at Baker College. She is a seasoned Program Manager with over two decades of experience in the automotive industry.
She has served as a classroom mathematics teacher at the secondary level in the Detroit Public School district for five years.

" I discovered that many people were not aware that children in the United States were trafficked. I knew then that I had to focus on eradicating this terrible corruption. When I became aware of human trafficking of children, I chose to direct my focus for completing tasks that fight against human trafficking. I sincerely feel no child should be trafficked or mistreated, and miss their childhood.
My journey to fight against. With my drive and ability to timely complete tasks, I decided that my understanding of details and processes and my talents in graphic, would be an asset to The Prom Project of Michigan as a board member". Ms. Wafer brings professional skills as a Logistics Coordinator with a penchant for detail. Her hobby of graphic design with clothing is going to be a game changer for the organization.
